Yangpa Kimchi – July 2024

Each month, The Korean Pantry will feature a new Kimchi, inspired by the seasons and our Chef’s passion for experimenting with textures and flavours.

“With Summer comes new varieties of vegetables. I want the Kimchi Collection to highlight this and chose to make a Kimchi with freshly harvested onions : Yangpa Kimchi. I chose to use a trio of White onions, Red onions and Spring onions. Yangpa Kimchi will evolve with time. At first, a bit crunchy, it will be perfect to eat alongside grilled meats and skewers. When a little more mature, it will soften and will be a fantastic base for a quick Kimchi fried rice.

My best tip : use it to marinate pieces of chicken thighs overnight. Then arrange meat and onions onto skewers to make the most delicious kebabs on the BBQ

Particularly rich in vitamin C, B6, B9, antioxidants and potassium, onions are also a great source of prebiotics that will help support your digestive system. They help balance blood sugar and lower bad cholesterol and blood pressure.

Storage : Keep the pouch refrigerated in an upright position or decant in an airtight container. Kimchi will keep for weeks when stored correctly but we recommend to eat this Kimchi within 6 weeks from delivery.

How does this work : Our monthly special kimchi is available only to pre-order, and with a limited quantity. July’s YANPGPA KIMCHI can be pre-ordered until July 15th. It will be dispatched on July 16th. Just pop the kimchi in your fridge and enjoy!
