Kkakdugi - May 2020

Each month, The Korean Pantry will feature a new Kimchi, inspired by the seasons and our Chef’s passion for experimenting with textures and flavours.

 

“The Kimchi Collection continues its tour of the best seasonal Kimchi and I thought it would be nice to have something with a crunch this time.

Kkakdugi is Korean Radish Kimchi. Cubed or sliced in big chunks, biting in Kkakdugi is like biting into Summer. It has a slightly sweet taste and is very crisp. The spiciness adds to the refreshing taste. My favourite way of having Kkakdugi is with the simplest chicken soup, Yeong Gye Baek Suk. Also definitely worth it on its own with an ice cold beer.

As with our other versions, naturally made without any preservatives or additives, The Korean Pantry KKAKDUGI is unpasteurised and will develop loads of probiotics and prebiotics to support your gut health.

Its zingy and refreshing spiciness will make it the perfect side to your grilled meats, but also to very mild main dishes or noodles soup.

 

Vegan friendly recipe.

Storage : Keep the pouch refrigerated in an upright position or decant in an airtight container. Kimchi will keep for weeks when stored correctly. Usual shelf life is 4 weeks when you order online.

 

How does this work : Our monthly special kimchi is available to PRE-ORDER ONLY, and with a limited quantity. May’s KKAKDUGI can be pre-ordered between April 23rd and May 5th. It will be dispatch on Wednesday 13th May. Upon delivery, just pop the kimchi in your fridge and enjoy!
